"As faculty in a higher education institution myself, I always think and remind myself that the most important thing as an educator is not just delivering knowledge to students but empathizing and understanding them so that we can mentor and guide them in the right
direction. Unless you make a continuous effort to understand your students, I believe that there is no value of education. On top of this, I am certain that Ms. Angella is a person who always put herself in her student’s shoes to better understand them."

"She knows...how to motivate students to get interested in learning and studying. As English is our second language, my children made a big progress with Mrs Kailyn Angella’s help."

Mother

"Julie has not only improved academically, but also learned how challenging new things are exciting for her...I, as a parent, appreciated very much that Ms.Angella was always willing to support us. She was always available for discussion, and was very responsive to our needs. When we needed to ask
for her special care for child’s condition, she was very professional and kind, which helped us a lot to go through the situation we had."

"When walking into Kailyn’s classroom on any given day, one can not only hear the excitement and energy of learning, but can also witness and feel the motivation she uses to produce quality work from each of her students. Through the use of transdisciplinary units, Kailyn structures learning activities to be engaging as she pushes her students to be more self-reliant and self-guiding as they go about their daily activities. Kailyn provides inquiry based learning experiences and guides the students in their discovery and thinking skills, pushing all students to own their learning. Kailyn coaxes higher level thinking in a very calm, encouraging way. Her use of careful, yet detailed, directions compliment her classroom management style and set the tone for simple routines and activities. "

"Kailyn immediately implemented some interventions, such as explicitly teaching her replacement
behaviors in lieu of aggression, using a reinforcement system, and communicating with the student’s
mother. Being the school psychologist, she also contacted me to collaborate on a formal behavior
support plan. Typically teachers do not have much data apart from observation when I first meet with
them, but in Kailyn’s case she came prepared to show me her student’s progress in various ways, such
as showing me the frequency of aggression, anecdotal notes, and progress using her reinforcement
system. Furthermore, Kailyn implemented the behavior plan with fidelity and within a few weeks the
student had greatly reduced aggression and was engaging in more appropriate ways to show frustration or anger."

"Mrs. Angella is a talented educator that is focused on creating an effective and safe learning environment. She designs learning opportunities for her students through well developed lessons that are tailored to individual student strengths and that challenge their growth areas...Her commitment to teaching and learning is what makes her such an asset to our school and an invaluable member of her community."

"If you were to cast a movie in which the central character was the quintessential Primary teacher, you needn’t  look any further than Ms. McLean Angella. In short, if I could create a school out of whole cloth, the first thing I’d do would be to hire Kailyn to lead my Early Years program. She is simply the best I’ve ever worked with.

Kailyn always seems to make room in her heart for everyone, even (and maybe especially) if they don’t deserve it.  She has empathy for miles and she can find the silver lining in anyone or anything. She’s especially adept at helping children find their own path to success. With a well-placed provocation or an inquisitive question, she deftly leads the learning."

"Kailyn’s classroom is very student centered and she does a great job setting up procedures and routines. Students feel valued and special in her classroom thanks to her efforts in this domain. I appreciate the attentiveness she demonstrate to her students and I know parents feel so lucky to have Kailyn as their child’s teacher. She is truly gifted in her ability to create a climate of trust."

"Kailyn has worked hard at creating and modifying curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the students that make up her classroom. Kailyn is a wonderful communicator and is able to collaborate with the specialists in her classroom, as well as the para-educators that she oversees...She is also great at putting positive behavior supports in place for her students and getting them to perform at their best."
